Chinook and Salmon Opening on the Skeena System

After early season closure of the entire Skeena River system to all Salmon fishing the majority of the river has reopened. Sockeye remains closed and is unlikely to open this season unless larger than estimated returns happen. Fishing for Chinook will close early this year on Aug 15th but Coho and other species will remain open. Spring Salmon limits have also been adjusted. See the full release from DFO below for all the details. Be sure to check the DFO website and provincial regs before heading out on the river. The McBike website is not an official source of DFO information and we suggest you double check any information.
