The Tyhee Lake Triathlon is an annual event that takes place near Smithers, BC. - a great race for those new to triathlon and for competitive racers as well. Bike check starts at 8:00 am. The Olympic distance wave starts at 9:30 and the Sprint and Tri-a-Tri waves start an hour later. After the lake swim, the bike and run take place on rolling, quiet, rural roads. The course is well-marshalled and the event is sanctioned by TriBC. After the race there is a great BBQ and lots of draw prizes. Camping is available in the park. Registration can be done on the zone4 website this year, starting in early May.
